    Two government school teachers, including a woman, were shot dead by terrorists in the Eidgah area of Srinagar on Thursday.

    Unidentified men entered a school in Srinagar’s historical old town Eidgah on Thursday and morning and gunned down its principal and another teachers.

    Terrorists fired from close range at two teachers in a government higher secondary school here. Both the teachers died on the spot.

    According to police, at about 11:15 am, terrorists shot dead two school teachers. The area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nail the attackers.

    This was the fifth civilian killing in Kashmir in the past three days, four of them alone in Srinagar.

    National Conference leader and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the latest killings. “Shocking news coming in again from Srinagar. Another set of targeted killings, this time of two teachers in a Govt school in Idgah area of the city.”

    “Words of condemnation are not enough for this inhuman act of terror but I pray for the souls of the deceased to rest in peace,” he tweeted.
