According to police, five people, including two women, were killed in a horrific road accident this morning. At the same time, 12 people including 6 children were injured.
Five people died in a road accident on Saturday morning in the Jodhpur district of Rajasthan. The accident took place in Phalodi, Jodhpur.
Police officer Hari Singh Rajpurohit said that the tourists were going to Jaisalmer in a minibus from Delhi, then this morning the bus collided with a troll near village Gana on NH-11 in Bap police station area of Phalodi.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the incident.
The collision was so strong that the minibus was completely destroyed. All the people present in the bus were trapped inside. Police and villagers managed to take out the injured.
At present, the injured have been sent to Phalodi and Bikaner hospitals. The condition of some of the injured remains critical. Police believe that at least one of the drivers of the minibus and the trolley had fallen asleep, an accident due to a sleeping nap.
According to the information received, the bus was going from Delhi to Jaisalmer. The dead include two women and three men. There were about 18 people on the bus. Further investigation is underway.
