Government Focuses on Peace and Security

The government of Chhattisgarh continues to follow a dual strategy, combining security operations with welfare initiatives to address the Maoist insurgency. The Home Minister warned that the government would not allow Maoists to misuse peace talks as a strategy to regroup. He urged them to prove their sincerity by surrendering arms and joining the mainstream, emphasizing that genuine peace can only be achieved through trust, dialogue, and a commitment to democratic principles. He reiterated that any attempt to exploit negotiations for tactical gains would be firmly countered.

Despite previous unsuccessful negotiations, the government remains hopeful for a peaceful resolution. Security forces stay on high alert, but officials have assured that they will respond positively to any genuine effort for dialogue. Now, the responsibility lies with the Maoists to take the next step toward lasting peace.
