Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, a megaproject that is expected to boost tourism in Varanasi in a big way. PM Modi reached Varanasi airport on Monday morning and later visited Kaal Bhairav temple.
rime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate phase 1 of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, constructed at a cost of around Rs 339 crore. He wareceived at the airport by the Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The foundation stone for Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor was led by PM Modi on March 8, 2019. It spread across a massive 5 lakh square feet. As many as 23 new buildings constructed to provide diverse facilities for the devotees.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath was also present with PM Modi on the cruise.
After reaching Lalita Ghat, PM Narendra Modi took a holy dip in the river Ganga and performed pooja.
The local people gave a warm welcome to PM Narendra Modi in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi and showered flowers. They also shouted slogans of ‘Modi, Modi’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’.

On his arrival in the city, the Prime Minister offered prayers at Kaal Bhairav Temple.
After some time, we all will witness the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham project. Before this, I had darshan of Kaal Bhairav Ji, the Kotwal of Kashi,” PM Modi tweeted in Hindi.
During the two-day visit, Prime Minister will also participate in a conclave of Chief Ministers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, along with Deputy Chief Ministers from Bihar and Nagaland.
