    Nine-year-old boy dies after bungalow compound wall collapsed on him

    On Sunday, a nine-year-old boy was on his way to the market with his parents to buy a bicycle when the compound wall of a bungalow in the Chikhali area collapsed on him. The bungalow’s owner has been arrested.

    The deceased has been identified as Mohitraje Amit Bhosale (9), a resident of Chikhali Gaothan on the Dehu-Alandi road. Amit Kantilal Bhosale (40), his father, filed the first information report (FIR) in this case at the Chikhali police station.

    According to the police, around 2.30 p.m. on Sunday, Mohitraje was walking with his parents when a dilapidated compound wall of an old bungalow fell on him. According to police, Mohitraje was injured and died in the incident.

    Based on a complaint filed by his father, police have booked the bungalow owner, Suresh Jadhav, resident of Spine Road in Chikhali, under sections 338 and 304 (a) of the Indian Penal Code.

    Assistant police inspector Nakul Nyamane, the investigating officer, said that the bungalow owner has been arrested on charges of negligence.
