    Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has informed that all institutes/ faculties/ departments/ offices/ units of the varsity have started functioning with 100 percent capacity. Also, all the faculty members, officers, and staff have been asked to be present at their workplaces. 

    Assistant Information and Public Relations Officer, BHU, Chander Shekher Gwari, said. “All the staff members requested to strictly follow the Covid appropriate behavior.”

    “Heads of departments/ offices to ensure that this is being follow without fail,” BHU said. 

    All the staff asked to wear masks at all times, maintain social distancing and follow all the Covid protocols.

    With the rise in Covid-19 cases for the past few months, the University was operating with only 50 percent. The remaining 50 percent were working from home. 

    The Uttar Pradesh government has allowed the reopening of schools and colleges from February 7. Schools asked to operate adhering to Covid-19 protocols and guidelines. 

    The order stated schools and colleges, at the time of reopening must ensure that all are following the Covid-19 SOP – wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing. The schools and colleges in the state earlier ordered to remain close till February 6.
