    A 27-year-old Mumbai influencer, Aanvi Kamdar, died after falling into a 300-foot gorge near the popular Kumbhe Waterfall in Mangaon, Maharashtra’s Raigad district. According to police, the incident occurred on Tuesday during a monsoon outing with seven friends.

    Kamdar, a Mumbai resident, was visiting the waterfall with seven friends on July 16. The trip turned tragic around 10:30 am when she slipped into a deep crevice while recording a video.

    Known as @theglocaljournal on Instagram, Kamdar had 257,000 followers and shared content on travel, luxury discoveries, cafés, itineraries, tips, and personal experiences. Her bio stated she was a chartered accountant and had previously worked at Deloitte.

    Her final reel, posted just two days ago, shared suggestions for the upcoming long weekend on August 15

    According to a police official from Mangaon police station, Kamdar visited the scenic waterfall with her friends during the rainy season, as reported by PTI. The official explained that while filming the surroundings, she fell into the gorge. After her friends raised an alarm, the police and local rescuers arrived at the scene and took her to the nearby Mangaon Taluka Government Hospital, where she passed away during treatment.

    Upon hearing the news, social media users flooded her last reel with condolences. One user expressed, “I can’t believe it. This is deeply saddening and has kept me up all night. She was one of the kindest people I knew. Please, let’s focus on praying for her soul to rest in peace and remember the joy and positivity she brought to our lives. Stop commenting on the ‘reel’ part, we were not there, don’t amplify misinformation. Shame on all the media houses that just take one false article & rewrite it & spread BS. Instead , honor her memory with love and respect. Let’s remember her smile and the happiness she spread. Please be empathetic!!!!!”

    A second user said, “The girl with the warmest heart & most humble smile.” Meanwhile, a third user mentioned, “I am so shook by the news. You were always the chirpy and kind person and I used to keep coming back to your page for any travel tips. Will miss you! Aanvi, I pray you rest in peace.”
