    According to Ishwar Wable, zonal secretary of the Maharashtra State Electricity Workers’ Federation, 31 unions are taking part in the statewide protest against the government’s privatization decision.

    The Pune zone of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd has taken emergency steps to guarantee smooth and continuous power delivery in light of MSEDCL union employees launching a 72-hour strike after midnight on Tuesday.

    The Maharashtra State Electricity Workers’ Federation has declared a three-day strike beginning Tuesday at midnight to protest privatisation and Adani Transmission Ltd’s entry into electricity distribution. According to Ishwar Wable, zonal secretary of the Maharashtra State Electricity Workers’ Federation, 31 unions are taking part in the statewide protest against the government’s privatisation decision.

    According to an official spokesman, efforts have been made to maintain seamless power supply to customers in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, as well as Ambegaon, Junnar, Khed, Maval, Mulshi, Velhe, and Haveli tehsils in the district. The power provider has urged residents not to heed bogus information about power supply.
