    Recently, the Mumbai police disclosed specific details regarding the sea-bridge, including the speed limit, vehicle entry restrictions, and preventive measures to avoid disturbances and accidents in the near future. Additionally, the Mumbai police justified these measures, emphasizing the paramount importance of ensuring safety and preventing any potential danger, obstructions, or inconvenience to the public.

    Speed Limit Regulations for (MTHL): Ensuring Safe Travel for Different Vehicle

    In accordance with an official statement, specific speed limits apply to different vehicle categories. Cars, taxis, light motor vehicles, minibuses, and two-axle buses are permit a maximum speed of 100 kilometres per hour. However, speed restrictions of 40 kmph will be enforced during the ascent and descent of the bridge, emphasizing safety measures.

    Car commuters will be charge a toll of Rs 250, following the Maharashtra Cabinet’s approval of the toll proposal. Initially suggest at Rs 500, the toll was revise by the Urban Development Department to Rs 250, considering various factors. The proposed toll, applicable from 2024 to 2053, will undergo adjustments based on traffic flow and financial patterns in the initial five years. The Cabinet notes a 6 percent annual increase in toll rates, with varying charges for different vehicle types.
