Earthquake in Indore tremors felt in Indore, Madhya Pradesh today (Thursday) at 4:53 am. The area where the tremors felt is in the western Nimad region.
According to the National Center for Seismology, the quake was 125 km south-southwest of Indore, with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale. Most of the people were sleeping in their homes at the time of the earthquake. But as soon as the earth shook, the sleep of the people awakened and some people came out of their houses due to panic.
It is noteworthy that a 3.4 magnitude earthquake in Indore also hit Kutch district of Gujarat on Wednesday afternoon. According to the district administration officials, no loss of life or property has reported from the quake.
According to the information received from Gandhinagar-based Seismological Research Institute (ISR), the tremors felt near Bhachau at 12:05 pm. The epicenter reported at 12 km north-northwest of Bhachau at a depth of 12 km.
The district administration says that there is no news of any loss of life or property due to the earthquake. Kutch is located in the “extremely high risk” seismic zone and there are frequent low-intensity earthquakes.
A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck the district in January 2001, causing severe damage to property. The quake left many homeless. Earthquake tremors felt in Kutch but there was no loss of any kind.
