    In the grand finale of BiggBoss Season 17, Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner, triumphing over actor Abhishek Kumar through live voting. The five finalists competing for the coveted trophy were Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, Arun Mahashetty, Faruqui, and Kumar. Special guest Ajay Devgn graced the last episode of the season aired on Colors channel.

    The eviction sequence saw Arun being the first to leave the Bigg Boss house in the finale, followed by Ankita and Mannara. Host Salman Khan officially declared Munawar Faruqui as the winner, awarding him a cash prize of ₹50 lakh and a car.

    Faruqui, a popular stand-up comedian, gained attention in 2021 when he faced a month-long imprisonment for remarks about Hindu deities during a stand-up performance, sparking controversy. His victory in Lock Upp Season 1 in 2022 further added to his credentials.

    Throughout his stint on Bigg Boss Season 17, Faruqui entertained both housemates and viewers with his wit and charm. The show, which premiered on October 15, 2023, featured 17 contestants initially, including Vicky Jain, Ayesha Khan, Anurag Dobhal, Aishwarya Sharma, Neil Bhatt, Isha Malviya, Jigna Vora, Firoza Khan (Khanzaadi), and Rinku Dhawan.

    Abhishek Kumar and Munawar Faruqui have been friends from the beginning of the show. Their relationship faced a dent after Abhishek’s return to the show, but soon they mended their differences and came close. The two stuck together as a pillar of strength to each other. Now, as Munawar Faruqui won the trophy, it was a surreal moment for him. And with this, Munawar Faruqui gets the best birthday gift as he takes the trophy to Dongri.
