Smriti Irani, along with her husband Zubin Irani, conducted the griha pravesh ceremony at their new home in Amethi. The property, purchase in 2021, holds significance as it is situate in the Lok Sabha constituency she win from Rahul Gandhi in 2019. The timing of the ceremony, months before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, suggests the potential for another intense electoral battle in Amethi, as the Congress, despite conceding the seat in a seat-sharing arrangement with the Samajwadi Party, remains determined to reclaim it.
