Environmentalist Raises Concerns Over Flamingo Collision

D Stalin, representing NGO Vanshakti, has voiced concerns regarding the recent flamingo collision incident. He suggests that the installation of new power lines within sanctuary areas may have disoriented the birds, leading to the accident. Stalin criticizes the wildlife board for permitting such constructions, stating that alternate routes were available. Additionally, he implicates CIDCO in potentially disturbing bird habitats to facilitate construction projects, alleging a connection to the accident. According to Stalin, efforts to disturb bird populations in wetland areas near NRI complexes and TS Chanakya lakes could have prompted the flock to fly towards Thane Creek, resulting in the collision.
