Government Announces Yearly Gallantry Awards on 75th Republic Day
75th Republic Day, the government made public its declaration of the yearly gallantry. Medals were bestowed upon 1132 individuals representing diverse agencies such as the police.

MHA’s Consolidation of Gallantry and Service Medals
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced the consolidation and rationalization of 16 gallantry and service medals. These have now been merged into four distinct medals, namely the President’s Medal for Gallantry (PMG), Medal for Gallantry (GM), President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PMG), and Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM), as stated in an official statement.
