The 15th BRICS summit in Johannesburg signifies the coalition’s first in-person assembly since 2019, when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted it.
The meeting in Johannesburg bears extra importance as it will deliberate on the potential enlargement of the alliance to encompass nations like Iran, Bangladesh, and various other developing economies.
“I eagerly anticipate engaging with several guest countries who have been invited to partake in this event,” stated Mr. Modi. Following the Johannesburg summit, he will travel to Athens upon the invitation of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
