New Delhi expressed deep concern over the escalating conflict between Iran, Israel, and Lebanon, stressing the importance of preventing the situation from expanding into a larger regional crisis. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a statement on Wednesday, urging all involved parties to show restraint and protect civilians. The statement emphasized the need for diplomacy and dialogue to resolve the conflict.

This response follows Iran’s missile strikes on Israel, reportedly in retaliation for Israeli attacks that killed key Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to retaliate, stating that Iran made a serious mistake, and further action would be met with stronger consequences. Meanwhile, the United States has backed Israel, warning Iran of severe repercussions if the situation escalates further.
