Jaipur-Ajmer accident: A deadly collision involving an LPG tanker and several vehicles on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway on Friday morning resulted in at least seven deaths and more than 35 injuries due to a fire.
More than 30 vehicles were destroyed in the fire, while thick black smoke billowed into the sky.
Preliminary reports indicate that the truck that collided with other vehicles was carrying a chemical. Social media videos revealed thick smoke rising from the burning vehicles.
Over 25 ambulances were dispatched to transport the victims to the hospital, many of whom suffered severe burn injuries.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma quickly went to SMS Hospital, where the injured were treated. He directed officials and doctors to ensure they received proper care. He also visited the accident site and spoke with police officers.
Jaipur-Ajmer Accident: Witnesses Share Their Accounts
Witnesses said they could see the flames from over a kilometer away. A school van driver, on his way to pick up students, described with shock the sight of a man consumed by fire.
“As I approached the area, I saw people rushing in panic and screaming for help. I saw a man completely engulfed in flames. It was a terrifying sight,” the driver told PTI. “Fire trucks and ambulances were present but struggled to reach the location at first.”
Another witness told ANI that a stretch of 100 to 200 meters of the highway was completely burned.
“We were awakened at 5:30 in the morning by a blast. Those who could jump out of the bus managed to escape, while those who couldn’t were burned. A full stretch of 100-200 meters of the lane was engulfed in flames,” he said.
Another witness, who managed to escape by breaking a window of the bus he was on, reported hearing constant explosions.
“My friend and I were traveling from Rajsamand to Jaipur when our bus suddenly stopped around 5:30 in the morning, and we heard a huge blast. Flames surrounded the bus… The door was locked, so we broke the window and jumped out,” he said, as reported by ANI.
“Along with us, about 7-8 others also jumped out of the window. The blasts kept happening one after another. There was a petrol station nearby…”
