Bihar Horror: Pune Businessman Abducted and Murdered After Arriving in Patna, Seven Held

In a shocking case of abduction and murder, Bihar Police arrested seven individuals, including a woman, for their involvement in the killing of a Pune-based businessman. The victim, Laxman Sadhu Shinde, went missing shortly after he arrived at Patna airport on April 11. Police recovered his body on Tuesday from Bihar’s Jehanabad district. According to officials, the accused conspired against Shinde soon after his arrival and executed a plan that led to his death.

A senior police official confirmed that authorities have busted the gang responsible for the abduction and murder. The alleged kingpin has been arrested and sent to judicial remand. Four other suspects are currently in custody for questioning as the investigation progresses. Police have identified the arrested individuals as Ranjit Patel alias Munna, Vipatara Kumar, Lalbihari, Vikas alias Mohit, Kundan Kumar, Sangita Kumari, and Sachin Ranjan.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Awkash Kumar told the media, “The police received a complaint from the family of the Pune-based businessman, stating they could not contact him after he landed at Patna airport. Based on the preliminary investigation and scrutiny of CCTV footage, the police registered a kidnapping case and formed a special team to apprehend the accused. The police recovered the vehicle used in the kidnapping from Vaishali and took the vehicle’s owner into custody.”

During custodial interrogation, the vehicle owner, Vipatra Kumar, identified the other suspects. The police then arrested 11 individuals involved in the case from Nawada, Gaya, Nalanda, and Vaishali districts. Seven were arrested, and four were being questioned, the SSP said.
