Veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin weighed in on the controversy, urging fans not to blow the discussion out of proportion and referring to Bumrah as the “crown jewel of Indian cricket.”

Let him express his opinions; just accept that,” Ashwin stated on his newly launched YouTube channel, ‘Ash Ki Baat.’

“People will quickly question how Bumrah can be considered the fittest cricketer if he’s had injuries. There’s a significant difference between a tipper lorry and a Mercedes Benz. A Mercedes needs careful handling because its parts are expensive, while a tipper lorry can endure long journeys without breaks.”
