Manish Sisodia, a jailed AAP leader, has addressed a letter to the people of India, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not comprehend the value of education.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s former deputy remarked in a letter released on Twitter, “It is very dangerous for the country if the prime minister is less educated.”
“(Narendra) Modi does not understand science…Modi ji does not understand the importance of education,” Sisodia alleged in the letter, saying that 60,000 schools have been closed in the country in the last few years.
Sisodia also referred to PM Modi’s theory on using gutter gas for preparing tea and remark on ‘cloud cover’ to target, and said that such statements are dangerous for country.
He also asked why 60,000 government schools in the country were shut in recent years.
“I saw a video of PM Modi in which he proudly says he is not educated and has taken education in village school. Is it proud thing to be uneducated or lesser educated? A good education cannot be made available to a child of a common man in a country whose prime minister is proud of being less educated. A well-educated man is searched for a post of a manager in a company, so shouldn’t the biggest manager of a country be educated?” Sisodia added in a letter.
Last week, the Gujarat high court quashed a seven-year-old order of the Central Information Commission (CIC) that had asked the Gujarat University to provide information on Modi’s degree to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the AAP chief.
“It is necessary to have an educated prime minister for the progress of India,” he said.
The CBI had on February 26 arrested Sisodia in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.
