Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Mahakumbh on February 5, marking an important occasion in this grand religious event. As per the itinerary, he will arrive at Mahakumbh by 10:30 AM and head to Arail Ghat, from where he will take a boat ride to Sangam—the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. During his visit, PM Modi is likely to interact with saints, take a holy dip at the Sangam, and personally review the preparations for the millions of pilgrims attending Mahakumbh 2025.

PM Modi’s Itinerary at Mahakumbh
At 10:30 AM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Prayagraj and proceed to the DPS helipad. From there, he will board the Nishadraj Cruise to the VIP Jetty for his visit. He will spend around an hour at the site, taking a holy dip at Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, before departing after completing his religious rituals. According to Mela officials, they have revised his original itinerary, removing visits to the State Pavilion and Netra Kumbh from his schedule.
February 5 carries great spiritual importance in Hindu tradition, as it coincides with the observance of Magh Ashtami and Bhishma Ashtami, both of which hold deep religious and historical significance.

Magh Ashtami also aligns with Gupt Navratri, a time devoted to deep spiritual discipline and devotion.

February 5 coincides with Bhishma Ashtami, a day dedicated to the legendary warrior Bhishma Pitamah from the Mahabharata. As per mythology, while resting on his bed of arrows, Bhishma waited for the Sun to transition into Uttarayan and Shukla Paksha before departing from the mortal world, in accordance with his boon of choosing the timing of his death.
