    Telangana Rains to Ease Monday, Yellow Alert for Six Districts

    After two consecutive days of heavy and persistent rainfall in various parts of Telangana, the weather conditions are predicted to improve slightly from Monday, September 2, 2024. However, caution remains essential as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for six districts in the state. This alert indicates the potential for significant weather events, including thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, which may occur in other regions as well.

    The IMD’s latest bulletin highlights that isolated locations in the districts of Nirmal, Nizamabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy are likely to experience heavy rainfall on Monday. This rainfall could result in localized flooding and disruptions, especially in low-lying areas. In addition to the heavy rain, thunderstorms with lightning and strong surface winds are expected across different parts of Telangana. Which could pose additional risks such as power outages, fallen trees, and damage to structures.

    In Hyderabad, the capital city, and its surrounding regions, generally cloudy skies are expected to prevail over the next 24 hours. The IMD has forecasted moderate to heavy rainfall or thundershowers, accompanied by strong surface winds in the city. These conditions could lead to traffic congestion and waterlogging in certain areas. The temperatures in Hyderabad are expected to remain relatively cool. With the maximum temperature likely to be around 24°C and the minimum around 22°C. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather reports and take necessary precautions, particularly during periods of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
