    On Friday, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar informed the House that security officials found a bundle of currency notes during a routine anti-sabotage check at seat number 222, assigned to Congress MP and senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi. He stated that he referred the matter for investigation.

    In response to the statement, Abhishek Manu Singhvi denied any involvement, calling the situation “bizarre.”

    Rajya Sabha Probe After Currency Notes Found at Singhvi’s Seat

    Jagdeep Dhankhar stated, “I would like to inform the members that during a routine anti-sabotage check of the chamber after yesterday’s adjournment, security officials discovered a bundle of currency notes from seat number 222, currently assigned to Abhishek Manu Singhvi, MP from Telangana. “The matter came to my attention, and I made sure that an investigation is underway.”

    Speaking to the media, Abhishek Manu Singhvi described his brief visit to Parliament on Thursday.

    “I am truly surprised to hear about this,” he said. I was unaware of it. I entered the House at 12:57 pm yesterday, and the session ended at 1 pm. From 1 to 1:30 pm, I had lunch with Ayodhya Prasad in the canteen. I left Parliament at 1:30 pm. So, I was in the House for just 3 minutes and spent 30 minutes in the canteen,” said the Congress MP.
