Seven people, including three women, were killed and seven others injured when a dumper truck crashed into a van in Bhind district, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday morning. The Truck-van collision incident occurred around 5 am near Jawaharpura village as a group was returning from a wedding. Some were in the van, while others were standing on the road when the speeding truck struck. Five people died at the scene, and two more later died in the hospital.

MP CM Mohan Yadav announces financial support
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister announced financial support for the victims of the road accident in Bhind. The families of those killed will receive Rs 4 lakhs each, while the seriously injured will get Rs 1 lakh, and those with minor injuries will receive Rs 50,000.
The Chief Minister expressed his condolences, calling the incident deeply tragic. He also directed the district administration to provide proper treatment to the injured and offered prayers for the departed souls and the strength of the bereaved families.
The truck-van collision while likely avoiding a motorcycle, said Bhind Collector Sanjeev Shrivastava. Seven injured were sent to Gwalior, others are treated in Bhind hospital.
Locals stage protests after accident
Angry locals staged a ‘chakka jam’ (blockade) on the road after the incident. The SP and the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) went to the spot and were trying to pacify the agitated villagers, the collector said.
