Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge urged Indians to protect the Constitution on its 75th anniversary, calling it the foundation of the nation that guarantees rights and defines India as a sovereign socialist democratic republic.

He also stressed the importance of acknowledging the contributions of the 15 women members who helped shape an inclusive India.
