On Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal went to the Delhi Rouse Avenue Court to challenge the summons issued to him by the additional chief metropolitan magistrate. These summons were issued in response to complaints filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) due to Kejriwal’s non-compliance with their previously issued summons.
Kejriwal has submitted a revision petition to Special Judge Rakesh Syal. The court is scheduled to consider the arguments on the application this Thursday.

Kejriwal has missed eight Enforcement Directorate summons related to the excise policy case thus far.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a new summons for Kejriwal to appear in court physically on 16 March. On 7 March, the ED also lodged a second complaint at the Rouse Avenue Court, accusing him of failing to comply with the summons regarding the alleged money laundering case related to the Delhi liquor policy.

Kejriwal has consistently argued that the ED’s summonses to him are “unlawful.” The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of suppressing opposition parties and orchestrating the downfall of governments.

Last week, Kejriwal expressed frustration over receiving numerous notices, comparing the situation to being treated like a major terrorist in the country.
He has consistently claimed that the BJP aims to suppress his party due to its rapid growth, which poses a challenge to them nationwide.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) intends to record Kejriwal’s statement regarding issues such as the development of the excise policy, pre-finalization meetings, and allegations of bribery in the case.
