Major General Ziaul Ahsan, a loyalist of Sheikh Haseena was dismissed after the Dhaka army to announced temporary government post-Haseena’s tenure. It was dramatically detained on Tuesday night. Fresh protests in Dhaka
Meanwhile, fresh protests broke out in a Dhaka neighbourhood on wednesday when hundreds of officials from the central bank forced four of its to resign over alleged corruption. The temporary government is expected to hold elections soon after taking charge. Businesses on Wednesday demanded immediate restoration of law to ensure the safety of their production units amid incidents of arson attacks on factories over the last two days. Bodies of atleast twenty nine supporters of Haseena’s league party were recovered across the country through Tuesday.
