Shrikant Shinde addressed the delay in Maharashtra’s new government swearing-in ceremony on platform X, stating that “many rumors” are circulating about it.

Shrikant Shinde dismissed speculation about him becoming Maharashtra’s deputy CM, stating, “Caretaker CM Eknath Shinde took a two-day break due to ill health, which fueled rumors. Reports suggesting I will be deputy CM are completely baseless.”

Shrikant Shinde stated that he had previously declined a central government ministerial post after the Lok Sabha elections to focus on party work. Reiterating his stance, he said he has no ambition for power and is not vying for any ministerial position in Maharashtra. He affirmed his commitment to serving his Lok Sabha constituency and the Shiv Sena.

Shrikant Shinde serves as the representative of Maharashtra’s Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency.

Over a week after the BJP-led NDA (Mahayuti) secured a landslide victory in the state elections, Maharashtra’s new government is still awaiting its swearing-in.
