    On Thursday, billionaire Elon Musk responded to TIME magazine’s cover, which featured his alleged “to-do list.” He clarified that the list was not his own. Musk, the owner of X (formerly Twitter), explained that his primary goal is “making life multiplanetary to extend the potential lifespan of consciousness.”

    TIME magazine’s December cover, titled “Citizen Musk: What’s next on his to-do list?” featured the 53-year-old tech mogul with a checklist. It included achievements such as “Electric Vehicles,” “Become richest man,” and “Buy Twitter.” Other items listed were “Launch rocket,” “Bring rocket back,” “Implant human brain chip,” “Get Trump elected,” and “Work from Mar-a-Lago.”

    Unfinished tasks on the list included “Slash $2 trillion” and “Fly to Mars.””Just to clarify, I haven’t given any media interviews, and this isn’t my actual checklist. My focus is on making life multiplanetary to extend the potential lifespan of consciousness. Some of the listed items are steps toward achieving that,” Musk wrote on X.

    U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to head the newly established Department of Government Efficiency.Trump stated that Musk and Ramaswamy, 39, will focus on reducing bureaucracy, eliminating unnecessary regulations, cutting waste, and reorganizing federal agencies.

    He added that the department would leverage outside expertise and collaborate with the White House and the Office of Management and Budget.

    Musk announced plans to target $2 trillion in cuts from the federal government’s $7 trillion budget.

    The SpaceX CEO, who aims to send uncrewed missions to Mars as early as 2026, reportedly spent over $100 million supporting Trump’s presidential campaign.

    Since his landmark victory over Kamala Harris earlier this month, he has consistently stayed by Trump’s side, actively participating in discussions and planning sessions. His presence underscores his integral role in shaping the incoming administration’s policies and priorities.
