    Huge loss to Journalism! Reuters’ Chief photojournalist Danish Siddiqui was killed while reporting an assignment in Kandahar, Afghanistan. he was embedded with Afghan forces which came under attack by Taliban.

    Danish Siddiqui, who had extensively covered the Delhi pogrom Riots and the covid migrant crisis, was the first Indian to win ‘Pulitzer Prize’ for Feature Photography.

    He was also covering the the situation in Kandhar amid the Afghanistan internal security situation over the last few days.

    “Deeply disturbed by the sad news of the killing of a friend, Danish Seddiqi in Kandahar last night. The Indian Journalist & winner of the Pulitzer Prize was to embed with Afghan security forces.

    I met him 2 weeks ago before his departure to Kabul. Condolences to his family & Reuters,” Afghan ambassador, Farid Mamundzay tweeted.

    Siddiqui on social media, had actively been updating the images and the situation from Afghanistan. T

    Taliban is currently overtaking territorial gains at time when united states and its allied armies are to taken back to country.

    His latest report from Kandahar was to published just three days ago. About the rescue mission after spending the whole night on a combat mission.
