    In New Delhi, the Indian government has received assurance from Iran foreign ministry that Indian officials. They will be permitted to meet with the 17 Indian crew members aboard an Israel-affiliated cargo vessel seized by Iran. This development follows External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar’s phone call to his Iranian counterpart, Amir Abdollahian, expressing concerns regarding the crew’s welfare.

    According to a statement from the Iranian foreign ministry, Jaishankar requested assistance in the matter, to which Abdollahian responded affirmatively, stating that Iran is actively pursuing the details of the seized ship. Abdollahian assured that representatives from the Indian government will soon have access to meet with the crew.
