    Indian External Affairs Minister is in the US for the 2+2 ministerial meeting. Jaishankar addressed students at Harvard University in Washington on Tuesday. While addressing the students, he praised the US government for helping India during the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

    Addressing students at Harvard University, Jaishankar recalled how the experience of COVID-19 has been very stressful for all countries.

    During this, he said, “the coronavirus pandemic period showed what friendship and relationships can do around the world. India is currently producing three vaccines. These are a direct result of our relationship with America. Jaishankar further said that when everyone could make vaccines, he was busy making vaccines. During that time it became difficult to run the supply chain.”

    The External Affairs Minister further said that he considers it a big achievement of the year 2021 because with the help of America, India was able to increase the production of the vaccine. Jaishankar also praised US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

    He again recalled how India had gone through a very severe wave of delta variant. The Foreign Minister said that we had a huge demand for oxygen, respirators and some medicines. A lot of countries came forward, but one country that really stood out was America.

    During Jaishankar’s address, Antony Blinken was also present. Blinken also took part in seven conversations with Harvard University students and faculty. The two foreign ministers interacted with Indian students, scholars and researchers working in the US and with American students, scholars and researchers. Blinken said that I believe that the US-India strategic partnership is extremely important and necessary to solve the problems of the 21st century. Your work is the focal point of that relationship.
