    PM Modi is set to address a rally in Srinagar on March 7. A day before Shivratri, during his upcoming visit to the Kashmir valley. This marks his first visit since the government’s decision to revoke Jammu and Kashmir’s special status under Article 370 in 2019. Leading to the bifurcation of the state into two Union Territories. The visit will include the launch of various schemes.

    Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina stated that the Prime Minister’s visit fulfills a longstanding demand of the people. the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre has been finalized as the venue. Stringent security measures are in place, with random vehicle checks and high alert status to thwart any potential terrorist activities during the visit.

    PM addressed a rally in Jammu and Kashmir

    During his last visit on February 20, the Prime Minister addressed a rally in Jammu and inaugurated projects worth ₹32,000 crore. The BJP aims to highlight “Naya Kashmir” as a major achievement during this visit. Plans to make political inroads into the Valley through the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat, covering areas of south Kashmir and Jammu.

    Before the delimitation of constituencies, the Anantnag seat included Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama, and Anantnag districts. The BJP seeks to strengthen its presence in the region, emphasizing the significance of the Prime Minister’s visit in showcasing their achievements in the area.

    The Prime Minister visited the Union Territory on February 20. When he addressed a rally in Jammu and inaugurated projects worth ₹ 32,000 crore. “The Prime Minister’s visit holds a lot of significance as the BJP. He is going to showcase Naya Kashmir as one of its major achievements,” a BJP leader said.

    The BJP leader said the party aims to make inroads into the Valley through Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat that covers south Kashmir areas of Shopian, Kulgam and Anantnag, and Jammu’s Rajouri and Poonch.
