The rally will take place at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, which organizers have prepared for the occasion. BJP flags and banners decorate both the stadium and various locations across Srinagar. This will be the BJP’s first large-scale rally in Kashmir since the announcement of the Assembly elections. Out of the 47 Assembly seats in Kashmir, the BJP has nominated candidates for 19 and left the remaining seats for independent candidates and allied parties. Security around the venue and throughout Srinagar has significantly heightened. Police and paramilitary forces have thoroughly secured the rally site and nearby areas.

Authorities have established temporary checkpoints in Srinagar to frisk vehicles and individuals. A police official confirmed that they have implemented comprehensive security arrangements for the Prime Minister’s visit.

“All areas in and around the venue are thoroughly secured, and security forces remain on the highest alert,” he said. “Snipers and sharpshooters, equipped with advanced surveillance devices, have taken positions in high-rise buildings around the venue for aerial monitoring.” BJP spokesperson Altaf Thakur mentioned that around 30,000 people are expected to attend the Prime Minister’s rally.

“All BJP candidates contesting in the Valley will be present. The rally will boost the morale of BJP workers and improve the party’s chances of winning in the Valley,” he added. Thakur also noted that wherever PM Modi goes, he brings success with him.

Security around the venue and across Srinagar has significantly increased. Police and paramilitary personnel have thoroughly cleared and secured the rally location. They have also set up temporary checkpoints, known as “nakas,” in various parts of the city. These checkpoints monitor and inspect vehicles and individuals moving through the area, ensuring maximum security for the event. The heightened measures reflect the importance of maintaining safety during the Prime Minister’s visit.
