The Union Home Ministry (MHA) said on Thursday that a four-member team led by an officer of the rank of Additional Secretary has left for West Bengal in view of the post-election violence in the state.

On Monday, the MHA sought a detailed report on the violence from the West Bengal government and took necessary steps to ensure that the damage was prevented in such incidents.
The ministry on Wednesday also issued a reminder to the government in this regard.
