A group of 17 football fans from Kochi, Kerala, bought a house on sale to watch the FIFA World Cup matches together. In Mundakkamugal, a small village in Kochi district, the deal was closed for Rs 23 lakh so the fans could watch the games under one roof.
The house is decorated with team flags
The group didn’t just buy the house, they also completely transformed the look of the house by painting the team flags on the walls. The buyers have painted the property with colors of Brazil, Argentina, and Portugal flags.
They have also hung many flags on the roof of the house. Besides this, they have also painted the sporting legends, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo portraits on the walls. The house can be spotted from miles away because of the stark bold colors. As per reports, the group of football lovers had established a tradition to watch football games together, long before even planning to buy the house.
For the past 15-20 years, the group has gathered to watch football World Cup matches together without fail. Only this time they decided to buy a whole property dedicated to watching FIFA World cup together. Talking about the future of this property, “In the future, our next generation can also enjoy this gathering and their unity will continue”, Shefeer said. They have not only painted portraits but also have erected cutouts of several other star players near the property.
