    IND vs ENG, 2nd Test, Day 1: Rohit’s unbeaten 80* leads India 106/3 at lunch

    India’s poor start in the second test as they lost opener Shubman Gill in the second over of the innings. Shubhman deceased for a duck, trapped leg before by an Olly Stone delivery. 

    Rohit Sharma made 80* lead the hosts 106. India has lost two big wickets(Pujara & Virat Kohli) in back-to-back overs in the first session of the second match.

    Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara stirred to steady the Indian innings with the attacking shots. Before, Indian skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bat first against England in the second Test in Chennai.

    Moeen Ali cleans up Virat Kohli with a great delivery as he tried to play a cover drive but missed the line completely. The Indian skipper is shocked and he can’t believe what just happened. He departs for a duck. The wave has certainly shifted in England’s favor.

    Cheteshwar Pujara gets on the front foot and tries to play an away turning delivery from Jack Leach wide of first slip but ends up passing a simple catch to Ben Stokes, who makes no mistake. He goes for 21.

     India made three changes to their playing XI, Mohammed Siraj replaces Bumrah’s spot. The hosts also made two changes in their spin department as Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel replace Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Nadeem respectively. Axar Patel, who is set to make his Test debut.
