In a significant boost for the Mumbai Indians, star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been declared fit for selection as the five-time IPL champions prepare to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2025 season.
All eyes turn to Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium on April 6 for a high-voltage clash. After back-to-back losses, Mumbai Indians are counting on Jasprit Bumrah’s return to bring firepower, balance, and renewed hope to their struggling squad.
“He’s available and will be training today. He should be ready for the game against RCB,” said Mahela Jayawardene, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo. “He arrived last night after completing his sessions with the NCA (now known as the Centre of Excellence) and has been handed over to our physios. He’s bowling today, so everything looks good.”

Notably, Bumrah received clearance and joined the Mumbai Indians squad on Saturday, April 5. With MI currently on a three-match losing streak, his return could provide a much-needed boost ahead of their crucial encounter.

Interestingly, Siraj hasn’t played any competitive cricket since the Sydney Test in the 2024–25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After a long spell away from the game, he’ll be eager to regain his form as MI prepares to face RCB.
