In a podcast with Lex Fridman, PM Modi emphasized the unifying power of sports, stating, “I believe sports have the ability to energize the entire world. The spirit of sports unites people across nations. That’s why I would never want sports to lose credibility. I truly believe they play a crucial role in human evolution. They are more than just games; they forge deeper connections among people.”
When asked to choose between India and Pakistan as the better cricket team, he took a modest approach, acknowledging that he is not an expert in the technical aspects of the game. However, he also pointed out that recent results clearly favor India in this debate.
