Samson Test Ambitions Backed by Leadership

In a detailed interview with Sportstar, Sanju Samson expressed confidence in his ability to excel in red-ball cricket. However, he has yet to receive a chance from the BCCI selection committee in this format. Samson, who mainly plays white-ball cricket for India, does not want to be limited to just limited-overs formats. His ultimate goal is to represent India in Test cricket.

Before the Duleep Trophy, Samson spoke with the team’s leadership, including the head coach and captain. They informed him that he was being considered for red-ball cricket. They advised him to take it seriously and encouraged him to play more Ranji Trophy matches to strengthen his case.
