    Former cricketer Aakash Chopra recalled an incident involving Gautam Gambhir, who was then the Indian team captain.     “He’s a passionate and hardworking individual, serious about his game, and has scored a lot of runs. He wears his heart on his sleeve and can have a short fuse. Everyone has their own character, and Gautam once had a run-in with a truck driver in Delhi. After the driver made a wrong turn and started using abusive language, Gautam got out of his car, climbed onto the truck, and grabbed the driver’s collar. That’s just who he is,” Chopra shared on Raj Shamani’s podcast.

    Aakash Chopra recently discussed his experiences with Gautam Gambhir, who is set to lead the Indian team as head coach for the first Test against Bangladesh on September 19. Chopra acknowledged that, despite their intense competition for opening spots, he and Gambhir were not friends at the time.

He noted that during their playing days, the team was so strong that only one among Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan could be selected for the playing XI.
