    Wasim Jaffer

Former India batsman Wasim Jaffer has brutally trolled Michael Vaughan for his recent post about the empty seats in the stadium during the World Cup clash between India and Afghanistan.

Wasim Jaffer and Michael Vaughan rarely squander a chance to pull each other’s legs on social media. Time and again, one has seen the former cricketers laughing at each other’s expense. They are quite popular among cricket fans because of their banter on X.

And the fans enjoyed another such moment on Thursday (October 12) when Wasim Jaffer decided to troll Michael Vaughan over his recent post. On Wednesday (October 11), the former England skipper expressed his surprise over many empty seats in the stands when India locked horns against Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

    Wasim Jaffer trolls Michael Vaughan:

Michael Vaughan faced severe criticism for his post from the Indian fans. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh also hit back great for his post. And hours later, Wasim Jaffer decided to have some fun too. It all began when former South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis took to X to sell a couple of tickets for the Rugby World Cup match between France and South Africa.

Reposting due to Plessis’ post, Wasim Jaffer hilariously wrote: ‘Hopefully Faf finds a buyer soon otherwise we’ll see a tweet from @MichaelVaughan asking ‘Why empty seats in Paris for QF’ ‘

Regarding the India vs Afghanistan match, the hosts registered a clinical 8-wicket win to extend their winning start in ICC World Cup 2023. Batting first, Afghanistan finished their innings on 272 for 8 in the allotted 50 overs. Skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi top-scored for Afghanistan, scoring 80 while Azmatullah Omarzai scored 62 runs.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers as he took 4 wickets for 39 runs in 10 overs. In reply, the Men in Blue chased down the total in just 35 overs and with 8 wickets in hand. Skipper Rohit Sharma starred with the bat, scoring a 63-ball ton. He scored 131 while his predecessor Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 55.
