An IndiGo flight traveling from Sharjah to Lucknow has made an emergency landing at the Karachi Airport in Pakistan.
The flight was forced to land after a passenger in the plane had a medical emergency.
According to an official statement by the airline, the passenger was declared dead on arrival at Karachi by the airport medical team.
“IndiGo flight 6E 1412 from Sharjah to Lucknow was sent to Karachi due to a medical emergency. Unfortunately, the passenger could not be saved and was declared dead on arrival of the airport medical team,” the Indigo statement said.
The airline expressed its condolences to the family of the passenger.
Earlier this month, an Indian air ambulance had made an emergency landing at Islamabad airport in order to refuel.
