    In a cosmic convergence of innovation and space exploration, the Indian Council for Technical Research and Development (ICTRD) took center stage as the organizing partner of INTERSTELLA 2023. This two-day space fest, hosted by the NASA Earth Department, not only embraced the globally acclaimed NASA Space App Challenge but also unfolded celestial events, bringing together young minds, scientists, and visionaries.

    As the organizing partner, ICTRD played a key role in creating an amazing experience at Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE) in Nagpur during INTERSTELLA 2023. This event occurred from October 14th to 15th, 2023, bringing together bright minds, creative ideas, and a sense of adventure in exploring the cosmos.

    NASA Space App Challenge: Sparking Innovation

    The NASA Space App Challenge catalyzed for young minds to contribute innovative solutions to the challenges faced by humanity. The challenge, breaking conventional norms, welcomed participants from diverse backgrounds, fostering collaboration among citizen scientists, coders, and space enthusiasts.

    INTERSTELLA 2023: A Celestial Extravaganza

    More than a hackathon, INTERSTELLA 2023 emerged as a cosmic extravaganza, featuring diverse events such as NSA MUN, Elysium science exhibition, Spectrum space quiz, and the globally renowned NASA Space Apps Challenge. Participants, irrespective of age, were encouraged to explore their unique perspectives and contribute to the cosmic conversation.

    Ketan Mohitkar, the Member Secretary of ICTRD, brought inspiration and expertise to INTERSTELLA 2023. His encouraging presence motivated students to delve into innovation, offering valuable insights. As an influential figure, Ketan Mohitkar’s participation added credibility, fostering meaningful interactions and deepening understanding. His impact extended beyond the event, acting as a catalyst for heightened enthusiasm and a shared commitment to exploration among participating students.

    Embarking on the theme “Explore Open Science Together,” the NASA International Space Challenge’s Inauguration Ceremony was a celestial spectacle. Among the prominent personalities present were Vijayalakshmi Bidari (Divisional Commissioner, Nagpur Division),  Jatin Wahane (Scientist at ISRO, World Youngest Scientist, 100 Entrepreneurs at BRICK), Sanjay Balamwar (Scientist at Maharashtra Remote Sensing, Nagpur), Kalpana Panday (Former Mayor), Nandatai Jichkar (Former Mayor), Ketan Mohitkar (Member Secretary, ICTRD), Dr. U. P. Waghe (Principal, YCCE-Nagpur), Dr. Aniket Munshi (Dean- Student Activities, YCCE-Nagpur), Atharva Lepse (NASA Space App Lead), Chaitanya Kavy Dhruv (CEO, Zenith Order), Parteek Lepse (President, Abhigyan Foundation), Adish Bahatkar (CEO-Openbox), and Unnati Samrit (President-ICTRD-YCCE Student Chapter).
