As per an official statement released by Jio, the company has announced its plans to offer SpaceX Starlink solutions through multiple distribution channels. Following Airtel, Jio Teams Up with SpaceX for Starlink Rollout
Jio announced that its partnership with Starlink will combine Jio’s leadership in mobile data with Starlink’s advanced satellite network to provide reliable broadband across India, including remote areas. Jio will sell Starlink equipment in its stores and offer installation and activation support. This collaboration follows a dispute between the companies over spectrum allocation, where the Indian government favored Musk’s administrative approach over Reliance’s auction proposal.
On Tuesday, Bharti Airtel had also announced that it has signed a del with Elon Musk’s SpaceX to bring Starlink internet to India. This was the first agreement to be signed in India, which is also subject to SpaceX receiving its own authorizations to sell Starlink in the country.
