    Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate India Energy Week 2024 in Goa, marking a significant step towards achieving self-reliance in energy. During the event from February 6 to 9, he will dedicate the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) to the nation and lay foundation stones for projects exceeding ₹1,330 crore. The PM will also inaugurate the ONGC Sea Survival Centre in South Goa and participate in the Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047 program.

    Emphasizing energy transition goals, the event will include a roundtable with global oil & gas CEOs experts. The Energy Week anticipates international participation, with 17 energy ministers, 35,000+ attendees, and over 900 exhibitors. Six dedicated country pavilions and a Make in India pavilion will showcase innovations. The newly constructed NIT Goa campus will provide comprehensive facilities for students, faculty, and staff.

    The Prime Minister will also dedicate the newly constructed campus of the National Institute of Watersports to the public. This institute is set to offer 28 specialized courses, to promote the development of watersports and water rescue activities.

    Modi will inaugurate a 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility

    Furthermore, Modi will inaugurate a 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility in South Goa. This facility is designed for the scientific treatment of 60 TPD wet waste and 40 TPD dry waste. It includes a 500 KW solar power plant that generates surplus electricity.

    Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a Passenger Ropeway, incorporating associated tourism activities. To connect Panaji and Reis Magos in North Goa.

    The foundation stone for the construction of a 100 MLD water treatment plant in South Goa will also be laid by the PM. Marking a significant step towards addressing water treatment needs in the region.

    As part of the engagement, the PM will distribute appointment orders to 1,930 new government recruits across various departments during the Rozgar Mela. Furthermore, he will personally hand over sanction letters to beneficiaries of various welfare schemes. Demonstrating the government’s commitment to social development.
