    Northwest India is likely to experience two Western Disturbances in short succession on January 18 and January 20, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). As a result, the IMD continued, the cold wave conditions over northwest India are projected to subside starting Thursday.

    The Western Himalayan region is set to experience a new western disturbance starting on the night of January 18. The Western Himalayan Region is likely to experience a second active Western Disturbance shortly after Friday night.

    According to the weather service, minimum temperatures could rise by 4-6 degrees Celsius from Thursday to Saturday.

    In several areas of Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi till tomorrow, the meteorological office has forecast a cold wave to a severe cold wave. After that, isolated areas of east Rajasthan are expected to experience cold waves.

    According to the weather office, isolated pockets of cold wave conditions are very likely to develop over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar today through Thursday as well as over Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Saurashtra, and Kutch today and tomorrow.
